A beautiful September day in Frisco and Blake is out for some golf! Daddy loves taking Blake out and Mama and Isabella get a kick out of joining them, getting fresh air and sunshine! Blake is a great golfer, he's strong and knows how to hit the ball :) You do a great job of looking adorable and dazzling everyone we meet!
Little Isabella Grace, you are so incredibly cute!!! And your Daddy is so strong! You get joy from riding on Daddy's shoulders while he mows the lawn! That's so funny! We have a nice new big backyard and Daddy has lots of grass to cut! He surely needs his helper! :)
The end of August brought a bombshell for our family...Your precious Grammy was given the diagnosis of a form of Leukemia called MDS (Myelodysplastic Syndrome). Blake and Mama made a trip to Albuquerque where Grammy was in the hospital for about 9 days. It was so good to see her smiling face, spend time with her and listen to what the doctors had to say. The chemo treatments will begin and we will pray daily for healing and strength.
We love, love, love our Grammy!!
MDS is a disease where the bone marrow no longer produces blood cells like it's supposed to. It is a precursor to Leukemia. Although this diagnosis is not one we would ever want in our family, the situation could be much much worse! Thank you Jesus this disease can be controlled by monthly chemo shots and maintenance with other blood level raising medications. We learned so much so quickly. This was a real eye-opener. Giving thanks again and again for great doctors and medication!
Your beloved Papa and Grammy :)
After 9 days in the hospital, through lots of testing, waiting, wondering and praying, Grammy was released to go HOME! She will continue on Vidaza injections indefinitely. This has been an emotional roller coaster but God is GOOD and our faith holds strong!
